Our prayer: Make us Easter people, God of life, that we will live with confidence and hope each day.
Give us grace to trust in your presence and your promise. Help us to “Be not afraid, sing out for joy, Christ is risen, Alleluia!” Amen.
Sunday, September 27, 2015...Lutherans from the four ELCA congregations in Boulder, Colorado, were all out of the church buildings and being "church" in the community. Grace and Trinity Lutheran Churches teamed up to serve homemade breakfast burritos (about 400 burritos were made and served hot), coffee, water, bananas, oranges. snack bars, and homemade cookies, were taken down to the Bandshell in Boulder's Central Park and distributed to all who came and were hungry. Conversations happened. Eating happened. And God was there. Not because the church people came, but because God is always present...we just took some time on this Sunday to see God outside of the church walls.
Life is humming on the Hill...moving trucks, boxes, mattress deliveries, no place to park. It's Fall semester move-in time for the University of Colorado at Boulder. Students are always welcome to worship on Sunday mornings at Grace (13th & Euclid on the Hill) and we invite you to become part of our community if a multi-generational setting is what you're looking for. We also invite you to check out lutheranbuffs.org for activities in a student setting.
Here's an article from CUBoulder about how students and residents on the Hill are interacting - and how Grace Lutheran wants to be part of student life. You are always welcome to make Grace your home away from home - we'd like to meet you!
Join us during these sunny days of Rocky Mountain summer, each Sunday at 9:30 as we gather for morning Worship - and afterwards at 10:30 as we share cookies, coffee and iced tea on the lawn. You are welcome to join us!
