Our Music Program

Music has always had a special place in the life of Grace Lutheran Church. Throughout its history Grace has nurtured and encouraged the performance of quality music from diverse traditions during worship and on the concert stage.

The heart of music at Grace can be found at Sunday morning worship when the congregation joins together to sing their praises in song. We support a choir that meets regularly and enhances the worship life of the church through music. The choir rehearses regularly on Wednesday evenings from September through May and provides special music for our Sunday morning worship services. You can click on the picture to hear the choir's performance of the Sinfonia and Chorus from Cantata 131 by J.S. Bach. The congregation at Grace also sponsors a host of other musical ensembles that meet on a more irregular basis such as our brass ensemble, recorder ensemble, chamber music, and even an Oompah band that plays at our annual Oktoberfest.

Grace is also a favorite concert venue for Boulder-area professionals and music students from the nearby University of Colorado who enjoy our intimate setting and great acoustics. In any given week you might find a concert by Diverse Passions, a cello recital, a rehearsal by the Boulder Schola Cantorum, or a piano master class within our walls. We are proud to be able to showcase some of the finest talented professionals and skilled amateurs in the Boulder area in our Sanctuary.

Thank you for your interest in music at Grace Lutheran Church. We hope you can join us in offering our musical talents "to the greater glory of God". If you are interested in learning more about Grace Lutheran please contact the church office at (303) 442-1883.
