Grace Groups

The life of grace is lived in community. Worship, study and service to others bring us together and send us out into the world.

Worship at Grace

Worship is the center of our life. We praise God each Sunday at 10:00 AM. Summer worship is at 9:30 AM from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You may call the church office for specific liturgical information, or check our worship schedule on this web site.

Adult Choir
Adult Choir helps lead worship by singing at our liturgies. The choir offers two concerts, in December and May.

Altar Guild
Altar Guild has no regular meetings. Volunteers prepare communion and care for communion ware after services; they also care for vestments.

Nursery
Nursery is offered during education and worship hours on Sundays, for children under kindergarten age.

Worship Leaders
Lectors, ushers and assisting ministers offer Grace people the opportunity to share in worship leadership and exercise ministries of hospitality in the congregation.

Boards and Committees

Congregation Council(Second Thursday, 7:30 PM)
Church Council oversees the life of the congregation. Nine congregation members are elected at large and serve with the pastor and the president of the Grace Lutheran Foundation Board. Meetings are open to all congregation members.

Worship Committee (First Tuesday, 7:30 PM)
The Worship Committee works with the pastor, music coordinator and organist to set general worship guidelines, review and evaluate worship services and support the congregation's prayer and praise.

Learning Committee (Third Sundays, after worship)
The Learning Committee recruits and supports members involved in Christian education from preschool through adult. It coordinates class schedules and program content, and requests needed materials from the Church Council.

Grace offers the following opportunities to grow in faith:

Mission Committee (Second Sunday, after worship)
The Mission Committee coordinates the witness of Grace in word and deed. It focuses on hands-on ministry within our community and allocates benevolence funds. These activities allow Grace members to put the Gospel into action in our neighborhood and around the world.

Nurture Committee (First Sunday, after worship)
The Nurture Committee seeks to monitor the well-being of the Grace community, both as a family in Christ and as individual members. It strives to find ways to encourage members to support each other, and coordinates fellowship events.

Stewardship Committee(First Thursday, 7:30 pm)
Stewardship Committee helps provide resources of time, talents and treasures from Grace members so that the congregation can carry out its ministry. This committee also develops and monitors the Grace budget.

Property Committee
The Property Committee oversees the building and grounds of the church. It seeks help from members to provide on-going maintenance and repairs and informs the Church Council of major tasks which need to be addressed.
